She is one of the world's most decorated female swimmers. She has collected many international awards over the past few years.
The young Russian athlete became famous in 2009 when she won the 50-meter breaststroke swim in Rome. It was the first victory for Russian women's swimming at the World Championships. Since then, Yulia has won titles every year, rising on the winners' pedestals with the Russian flag. Thanks to her, Russians have finally beсome interested in swimming. They started watching her performances, rooting for another victory.

She is also well known far beyond Russia. Interestingly, she started swimming at the age of 6 after her father, a famous sports coach, took her to the pool for lessons. Nowadays, the athlete trains at distances of 50, 100, and 200 m breaststroke under the guidance of her father.
In addition, Yulia has many silver and bronze awards in the World and European championships. By 2019, she has achieved all the national records in the female breaststroke. In the same year, at the World Championships in Gwangju, she won the entire set of medals in the breaststroke (gold for 200 m, silver for 100 m, and bronze for 50 m). This is a historic result as only a few swimmers have been able to repeat this achievement in the entire history of Olympic swimming.
Nowadays, Yulia continues her sports career. She is also interested in cooperation with actively developing companies. This is why she has become an InstaTrade ambassador.
